Topical Vitamin C is a science-backed, dermatologist favorite ingredient that helps slow early skin aging, prevent sun damage and improve dark spots and acne.  Vitamin C (L-ascrobic acid), is an antioxidant that fights harmful free radicals that come in contact with your skin from an external source like air pollution, or from inside the body as a result of normal biological processes.  Vitamin C has been clinically proven to improve the skin’s overall appearance by decreasing free radicals.  The higher the concentration of Vitamin C, the greater the antioxidant absorption rate and the greater the anti-aging effect.

Most brands offer Vitamin C between 10% to 20% because it is expensive and difficult to stabilize Vitamin C greater than 20%.  BE.SEEN’s proprietary extraction and stabilization technology allow them to offer Vitamin C at 23.5%, currently the highest topical concentration of Vitamin C in the world.

  • Clinically proven to fade hyperpigmentation
  • Helps reduce the appearance of under eye circles
  • Clinically proven to brighten skin
  • Reduce redness and even out your skin tone
  • Helps heal skin wounds and scarring
  • Protects against sun damage
  • Helps prevent wrinkles and sagging skin

Although topical vitamin C is generally well tolerated, all skin products have the potential to cause side effects like skin irritation.  We recommend that you first test your reaction to high vitamin C concentration to see if any skin irritations will occur.

Step 1: Select a small area of skin that’s easy to conceal, like your forearm

Step 2: Apply a small amount of product and wait 24 hours

Step 3: If no side effects occur, you can apply it to your face. Discontinue use if you develop a rash, redness, or hives.

Step 4: After cleansing, then toning, dispense 3 to 4 drops of vitamin C concentrate onto you the palm of hands and firmly press the product onto your face and neck.

It’s possible to have a skin reaction after repeat exposure, so it’s best to introduce new products one at a time, spaced out by a few weeks.  Vitamin C serum is typically applied once or twice per day however, we recommend that you start with a night time application first and then gradually use during day time as your skin gets used to the concentrated Vitamin C.

It is important to cleanse and tone before applying Vitamin C, apply serums and creams after the application of Vitamin C.  Be sure to apply skin care products with clean hands.

It can be safely used with other active ingredients.

Adenosine

Adenosine is a purine nucleoside composed of a molecule of adenine attached to a ribose sugar molecule. You may remember this ingredient as one of the four nucleotides that make up DNA and RNA from your high school biology classes.  Derivatives of adenosine are widely found in nature and play an important role in biochemical processes, including those of the skin. Adenosine is a relatively new ingredient in skincare formulations but has been used widely in medicine to help treat heart conditions and as an adjunct therapy for healing.  While adenosine is naturally present throughout the human body, the adenosine used in cosmetics and personal care products is derived from yeast.  In skincare, Adenosine soothes skin, calms inflammation and helps skin healing.

L-Arginine

Arginine is an amino acid naturally present in the body, considered essential to human development. As a skin care ingredient, it delivers antioxidant benefits and plays a role in repairing visible skin damage. Additionally, arginine shows excellent hydration and hydro-retention properties.
